Looking for Close Friendship that Could Graduate Into.... I am an educated professional who has taught everything from kindergarten (my favorite) to college freshman (writing courses). Though currently working in the district clerk's office, I would love to return to teaching, my first love. I value education and am interested in having someone educated and intelligent, but with a fun, almost-irreverant sense of humor, as my friend / partner.

I love animals, and my half-lab / half-redbone dog, Mattie, is a valuable part of my family. She spends time both in- and outdoors and goes on trips with me, just the two of us. I also have an outdoor cat, Senor Boy who works steadily catching mice and gophers. Eeeew!

I enjoy music, whether listening to is at home, with friends, at a small concert, or at karaoke! (I love to sing and to be around others who enjoy music.) I like water activities, especially swimming, even though fall and spring are probably my favorite seasons, with Halloween being my favorite holiday.

I truly enjoy exploring, whether it be an outdoor area, thrift stores, bookshops, flea markets, or an out-of-the-way, small restaurant. I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes, if there is someone to cook for and to experiment on recipes with.

The true loves of my life are God and my family. I have three granddaughters, five years old and under, and the two who live the closest are my pride and joy, my reason for who and what I am. (I don't get to see the middle granddaughter as much as I'd like; more on that later.) I have two very wonderful daughters and could not have picked out a better, more loving son-in-law that the one I have.

I love books and reading; movies and television; being around people as well as down-time; nature and animals; science and literature.
