One of my friends suggested I write,"Sex,Drugs, and Rock 'n Roll-if not now, when?" which I thought was pretty funny, and I hope that tells you a little about me.

Salient information: I am pretty, petite, intellectual and my politics have not changed all that much, although more of my focus now is on the environment. I have a college age daughter with whom I am close, a dog and a cat with whom I am close in a different way since they never became adolescents. I teach Advanced Placement English in a private school and I live in Long Beach.

I am fairly active-gym, yoga, Pilates and I love living near the beach, but the Upper West Side from whence I hail will always feel like home, even post-gentrification. I have been intensely physical for most of my life, but now I really need to have interesting conversations. I have a dry self-deprecating sense of humor, and the ability to laugh is non-negotiable.

What am I looking for? Attraction at three levels: physical, intellectual and emotional. Interesting discussions about politics, music, film. Humor. Love of family and/or friends. A meaningful career, past or present.

We're a long way from the sixties, but I would love to have a shared generational sensibility.
