serendipity didn't work Ok this is the difficult part-how to showcase yourself honestly and favourably without sounding narcissistic and insincere-but I'll give it a shot;
18 mths down the line from bereavement,predictably battle scarred but hopefully the emotional war is now won ,if not forgotten.I'm sick of rattling around in an empty house talking to myself and common sense dictates that the way forward is now to get out and about and start meeting new people.However I've neither the time nor the inclination to hang around pubs and clubs in the hope that the right partner will cross my path by virtue of serendipity-hence my being here.
Despite being a practical hands -on realist who made a career in engineering,there is also another person inside with a love of things artistic ,linguistic.musical and poetic and I would welcome the chance to meet someone who could help me develope and enjoy these interests further.
I don't seek the Holy Grail of unattainable perfection in a partner-God knows I have flaws enough of my own.I only ask that the core values broadly coincide.I 'm not even bothered about too many shared initial interests as diversity in a relationship should enrich both parties.
I ask only that the vain,egotistical,avaricious and mean spirited walk on by,as there's no place in my life for you.
